7 Months and Counting: Home Price Declines

CoreLogic says prices are still in decline.  This comes off as no surprise after Case-Shiller reported price declines in most markets.  According to CoreLogic’s Home Price Index, declines continued for the 7th straight months, leaving few to doubt that an official double-dip is near.

Rates Pause

After much volatility between November and February, interest rates have been stable over the last few weeks.  Freddie Mac reported the 30-year fixed rate drifted up to 4.87% from 4.86% for the week ending April 7th, 2011.  The 15-year fixed also increased just 0.1% to 4.10% leaving conditions favorable for people looking to purchase or [...]
