This week the weather was fantastic here in the City. Although it got pretty sticky, it didn’t prevent me from getting outside. Though I pass through Union Square a couple times a day, I learned more about it in 2-hour tour than I’ve known in the 5 months I’ve been here.
Highlights of the Union Square Tour include;
- The last building built for Tammany Hall
- The Impossibility of Understanding Time
- The Ghandi Gardens
- and more!
Also I’m putting Patsy’s pizza on my short list of best Pizza joints in New York, right there with Lombardi’s and Totono’s. I’ve learned how local New York is by bumping into people from Memphis waiting for the 4 train, bumping into my friend Marina in Union Square, and other random encounters.
Also the Summer Streets project was pretty cool. In August every Saturday, they’re blocking off a 7 mile stretch of Park Ave and making pedestrian only, including activities, pools, and more. I even saw valet bicycle parking (sponsored by Cliff Bar) at the Whole Foods Picnic on 24th.
Oh and an excellent billboard on a building advertising Inception.
Business-wise, our blue ocean strategy seems to be working well at Investor Nation. We introduced our first episode in our podcast, ‘Blue-Chip Real Estate”, and received a mention on the top ranked, Lease2Buy.com site.
